BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety

The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419), is the current workplace health and safety qualification. The Certificate IV in WHS, teaches participants the skills and knowledge required to work within an organisation, as a WHS supervisor, WHS personnel, Safety Advisor, WorkCover Assessor and WHS Coordinator.  The qualification is suitable for individuals working in a Work Health and Safety (WHS) role, who work to provide a broad range of technical knowledge and skills, and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.

RAM Training Services (RTO #31701), offers the Certificate IV in WHS via a number of different delivery methods, including self-paced Distance Learning, Face to Face workshops in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, online Live Virtual classes (via Zoom), and private group bookings nationwide.  Please see the Delivery Methods tab for more information on the different options.

For the more intensive delivery method, you will be required to bring a wireless enabled laptop to class (please let us know if this isn’t going to be possible ahead of time and we may be able to arrange this for you).

If you have relevant workplace experience, or have completed some of the units as part of another qualification that you have done, you may qualify for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which will reduce the amount of work you have to complete, and possibly the price.

Note, for international students – we are not CRICOS registered, please check your visa requirements for enrolment. We cannot accept international students who are on a student visa.

We offer this course as either a self-paced Distance Learning program, or a blended 5-day workshop course (blend of Distance Learning and Face to Face, or Live Virtual, workshop).

• Blended 5-day Intensive Face to Face Workshop

  The WHS blended program incorporates 5 consecutive Face to Face days, as well as pre and post course work to complete after the workshop.

  The blended method has been specifically designed as a kickstart program, during the 5 days in class, participants will be trained on how to complete a variety of tasks, group based activities, and case scenarios.  This program gives participants a great head start, to then complete the remainder of the course from home.

  After completing the 5 days in class, participants will have access to our pre-recorded webinars to help support them through their post course assessments. Our pre-recorded webinars allow participants the flexibility to complete the rest of their assessments at a time that suits their needs. Participants will also have access and support from their trainers via:

  • email and or phone
  • monthly Live Q&A Webinars
  • private Facebook support group
• Blended 5-day Intensive Live Virtual Workshop

  The Live Virtual method is conducted in the same way that the Face to Face method is conducted, however is delivered live online, via Zoom, so that you can attend from anywhere.  You will be engaging live with your trainer and fellow students.  You will need a computer with internet, as well as video and microphone capabilities.

  The WHS blended program incorporates 5 consecutive days (via Zoom), as well as pre and post course work to complete after the workshop.

  The blended method has been specifically designed as a kickstart program, during the 5 days in class, participants will be trained on how to complete a variety of tasks, group based activities, and case scenarios.  This program gives participants a great head start, to then complete the remainder of the course from home.

  After completing the 5 days in your Zoom class, participants will have access to our pre-recorded webinars to help support them through their post course assessments. Our pre-recorded webinars allow participants the flexibility to complete the rest of their assessments at a time that suits their needs.   Participants completing the Online WHS course from home as self-paced study, will have up to 12 month to complete the qualification. All participants will have access to the interactive online platform to complete their assessments, which will allow participants the flexibility to complete their assessments at a time that suits their needs.

  Standard fee: $2150. Split into 2 payments, $1495 on enrolment and $655 on completion of the 5 day workshop.

The Certificate IV in WHS course is designed specifically to teach participants to comply with Work Health & Safety legislation, identify & control risks & hazards, and apply solutions to Work Health & Safety issues. It is suitable for people working in a WHS role, with or without supervision.
