What the RSG Course Entails

Australia has been known to have the most number of adult gamblers in the world. In fact, 80% of them are into different kinds of gambling (4% of whom are poker machine players), which is the highest gambling rate ever.

Because of the constant demand for gambling services in the country, there is also a high demand for employment of hospitality workers. With this, hospitality courses are offered for people who want to work in the gambling business. Any potential employee in the Australian hospitality industry must obtain an RSG course certificate or statement of attainment before they can work.

Also known as Responsible Service of Gaming, the course is a mandatory prerequisite for people who wish to work legally in the gaming business. Upon the completion of the training, a person should then know the areas of promotion and advertising of gambling products. They should also be knowledgeable in identifying and dealing with problems that come with the business.

An RSG course certificate holder should also be able to do the following:

  •         Master Responsible Gaming Services
  •         Achieve customer service excellence
  •         Handle problem gamblers
  •         Work well with other staff not just in the hospitality sector

The gaming industry is ranked second worldwide for employer reputation. Its need for more workers is high because of the continual delivery of various services on a daily basis. Considering that almost everyone is connected to the web, courses are made available online as well. Signing up for the web-based course allows for more flexibility, because the learner gets to train at their own time and pace. By paying a certain amount, learners can also get a nationally accredited certificate.

If you think that the gambling industry is the right place for you to build your career, then be prepared to undergo training for your RSG course certificate.
