Government Funding

Completing courses and certificates in certain fields is great – not only do you learn necessary skills for particular jobs, you gain awesome qualifications for your resume. Government funding is available to some courses, that helps to alleviate the financial burden of completing the course. With some courses allowing over 85% government funding, now is a better time than ever earn qualifications.

CERTIFICATE III IN SECURITY OPERATIONS

This Certificate III in Security Operations is the next available one after Certificate II (discounts are available when completing both courses under the Certificate 3 Guarantee funding program), and adds further and more specialised security functions to your license and portfolio.

The knowledge and skills you gain from this course allow you to function as a security officer in shopping centres, control rooms, monitoring centres, cash in transit, nightclubs, events, building sites, patrol and more. It will prepare you for management and supervisor roles as well.

This course is also a pre-requisite for airport security and includes modules for Bodyguard, Crowd Controller, Cash in Transit and Monitoring security functions.

With the ability to do face-to-face training that only takes four days, time is not a problem, as an extensive course can be finished before the weekend. Click here to see if you are eligible.

CERTIFICATE III IN HOSPITALITY

The Certificate III in Hospitality is for someone who is looking to advance or gain a career in the hospitality industry. Those who complete this qualification are able to prepare and serve drinks at a bar, make and serve espresso coffee, as well as learning how to serve food, wine, beverages and other services. The potential jobs from this would include bartenders, baristas, receptionist, house keeper or gaming attendant.

This course not only includes imperative things such as customer service, hygienic practice, food safety, working effectively and showing cultural sensitivity but learning about Responsible Service of Alcohol and also the application of first aid.

A course like this usually costs around $3000, but with acceptance of government funding can save the individual an amazing 98%, with courses costing around $60.

So with the opportunity to learn great skills, earn qualifications basically free, now is better than ever to earn your certificates in hospitality and security!
