Vocational Education Teachers

They are commonly known as TAFE or Technical and Further Education teachers. These types of lecturers play the role of facilitator in training courses that help individuals land a job.

Their tasks include:

  •         making learning materials in keeping with their students’ needs;
  •         creating a course curriculum
  •         giving training on using the learning resources to their advantage
  •         conducting training courses in class or online
  •         rating their students’ work and giving them feedback
  •         evaluating the students’ skills in practical activities

Registered Training Organisation (RTO) trainer and assessor

An RTO trainer is responsible for creating training courses that will fit the requirements of a business. He/she is also in charge of setting up workshops so that training sessions will be more interactive.

An RTO assessor makes sure that each session conducted by the trainer is successful. He/she will then evaluate each one if there are ways to improve it.

Enterprise assessor and trainer

Enterprise assessors and trainers also work in an RTO or an enterprise associated with the organisation. Their tasks include planning evaluation processes and activities; taking part in the assessment validation; assessing competence; and giving work skill instructions.

Training adviser/training needs analyst

Their job is to coordinate, oversee, and create top-tier training courses while making use of a flexible, professional, and open-minded approach through validation of assessments and training needs analysis. Since they are considered the specialists in the field, they keep themselves updated on developments in instructional and training practises.

If you see yourself having a career in training and evaluation of competence in the Vocational Education and Training, then you should get a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
