Funding for Courses and Training – User Choice FundingTweet
There are many different options for students looking to undertake formal training and complete courses. The User Choice program funds nationally recognised, accredited training and assessment services for apprentices and trainees. Under the User Choice 2010-2015 program funding specifically targets the occupational outcomes of the apprenticeship or traineeship.
The level of funding attributed to each course is determined by where the course sits in relation to the Queensland Skills Shortage List. This list is compiled from national and state data, together with industry input. It also determines the amount of subsidy that each course receives. The funding percentages align with the skill outcomes required by industry.
